Azat Gabrielyan is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
Azat is a graduate of a “Public Policy and Administration” Certificate Program at Tufts University – The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (USA). He earned his PhD, MBA and Bachelor degrees from Yerevan State University.
He started his career in the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) in 2002 as an Accountant-Methodologist. Since 2007 Azat has joined Internal Audit Group of CBA and in 2011 became the Head of Operational Audit Division.
Azat is one of the founders and the Vice President of the IIA Armenia.
During 2013-2014 Azat participated in translation of International Standards of Internal Auditing into Armenian.
Azat has also an experience in lecturing. In 2003-2006 he was a lecturer in Russian-Armenian State Slavonic University. He has extensive experience of short-term trainings on Auditing, Governance, Risk and Control.
